DWM Cards. Who We Are?

The Press at Donamon, Co. Roscommon was established by the Divine Word Missionaries in 1958 to print and distribute quality Christmas Cards with the aim of keeping Christ in Christmas. It was a fitting undertaking for the Divine Word Missionaries, which had a strong tradition of using the print media to promote the mission of Christ.

Over the years, the Press grew into an operation which designed, printed, and distributed its own cards. In addition to the Christmas card business, the press expanded its range to include Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards, and cards for special occasions.

The Profits raised annually from the business go directly towards community development projects which the Divine Word Missionaries run in some of the 72 countries where they work.DWM Cards have had to diversify into more general printing. Whilst Cards are still the mainstay of the business.

At the height of its production, 6 million cards were produced each year. With the decline of religious orders and the diminishing size of parishes.

They also design and print secular cards and take on other printing contracts. These contracts provide additional income and help our profitability in these challenging times.

All DWM cards are designed and made in Ireland and are proud to carry the Guaranteed Irish mark.

In January 2020, the Press became a Limited Company, trading under the name DWM Cards Ltd.
